Mr. Payer,

I am giving you a heads up in hopes that you will head off a problem before it develops.
Your staff is about to violate state statute again.  I am referring to my fish farm license.
I noticed on the renewal that the mussel species I requested in 2001 are not on my license.
According to state statute MS 15.99 the DNR has 60 to either approve or deny a license.  After 60

days the license is automatically granted.  If additional information was needed the DNR had
10 days to request additional information.

Should Fisheries continue to deny those species for all of my ponds I expect to receive
documentation showing that the 60 day and 10 day limit clearly stated in MS 15.99 were not violated.

Thank you for your attention to this matter.

Sincerely, John Reynolds Midwest Fish and Crayfish 26385 County Road 3 Merrifield MN 56465 Home
